History was made today when Republican Governor Scott Walker signed the Wisconsin Personal Protection Act (Concealed Carry) into law. After several failed attempts at passing legislation with former Governor Jim Doyle in the drivers seat, Wisconsin finally has its Concealed Carry Law.

The law will not go into effect until November 1, 2011 and it will require a permit for Concealed Carry. However, it doesn’t restrict open carry, which has been the only option for Wisconsin for years.
